Two days after my trip to Lang Tengah Island, I landed myself in another island which is far more bigger and developed than the Lang Tengah Island. Lang Tengah has beauty of its own and I just love to be on a beach getting myself sunburnt. The plan of going Penang struck my head in the beginning of Semester 2 last year and it is my intention to visit Penang after my final exam for 1st year. I managed to get a place to go Lang tengah 3 days before the departure date. So you should know why I travelled to so many places in less than 10 days. Ok, here is the deal, my real and main purpose of landing myself in Penang is indeed to satisfy my crave for good foods especially chinese foods. Hey, I think everyone knows that Penang is famous for their foods, foods, and foods( oklah, touring to those interesting places is a must as well lah..) . Anyway, A big thanks and I really appreciate Kah Nee who willingly brought us to those places with their famous and signature dishes in Penang, even when she was busy with her stuffs. Thanks ya. To be honest, I still prefer Kuching foods or generally Sarawak foods with the exception of a few dishes which I think can beat up certain Kuching foods in term of tastes. Truly, this is only based on my own opinions and different people has different opinions, right?
I was greeted with the sight of Penang Bridge that is in the process of expansion, what my Penang friend told me was government projects always need a longer time than usual to finish...
Doesn't the condominium looks like twin tower?? this can be sighted after you crossover the bridge to Penang Island
without further a do, after I put down everything in the hotel room, my friend and I went straight to have our sightseeing without any guidance and we headed to any street with our common sense. We found the first Eu Yan Sang shop which is originated from Penang
do you notice the diffence between the beaches?? I was stunt seeing this sight. Luckily before that , I had my eye washed at Lang Tengah Island
Fort Cornwallis...the first british settlement in Penang. I didn't manage to went in there as it was closed when we reached the place at 6pm and it closed at 6pm also....

Just a few yards away, you will notice the 'egg' shape monument that I don't understand even until today...what's the significant??
This street is called 'the bank' street as you will noticed a lot of banks along this street. Some of the banks existed at the street for a long time 
this is the example of device that I don't normally seen often and walking through the street makes me feel like I'm on 1970 or 1960, where the bank their is still preserved for example like the above which is owned by Standard Chartered Bank
eventually, We ended up at Gurney Drive and we did visit one of the most popular spot there which is the Gurney Drive's Hawkers' Centre which I can describe as most of the best food in Penang gathering....hmm...so eventually you can taste anything ranging from Penang Fried Kuey Tiao, the 'o-chien' @sea ham with egg( above) , rojak(which I tasted and it taste the same as in Sarawak here as well...), cendol, the kuih, Fried chicken,etc...etc... you name it,they might have it...hehe(picture above courtesy of Penangpage.com) 
After devouring those food in, I still managed to have a plate of wanton mee and Penang Har mee@Penang Prawn mee....gosh...it tastes good....and cheap as well
the next morning, I woke up earlier and decided to visit the other part of Georgetown which I've not visited. Light Street is a street with lots of old British colonial structure and I found a two of the oldest churches in Penang which is a catholic church(above) and St George's Church Penang ( below )which is located at Lebuh Ferquhar.
just like Kuching, the courthouse is an old building but they make an initiative to restore and preserved it and it still function as a courthouse until today.

After the early morning stroll around the old area of Georgetown...it's time for makan...OMG, the food pictured above taste delicious( actually I don't remember the name...it could be laksa or something...served with clams,prawns, tauhu and the yellow mee....)
you can find the above food at Xin He cafe...at the same time, my friend eventually bought us Che cheong Fun which is so unique in it taste...the special thing is the sauce which is a secret recipe

the place itself has an incline lift which is claimed to be world's first...the fee of using it to and fro is 4 bucks...
to my disappointment...I thought I can see the bronze Guan Yi statue...but it is still under renovation. They are currently making a roof for the statue...
Laksa Penang...it tastes good...but because I don't like Lemon Grass and my tummy refused to accept it...the next day...toilet was the best place to visit for the whole entire day...
Bukit Bendera@Penang Hill is a nice place to visit....forget about the hot(which makes you feels like you are in an oven) and the lullaby ride. The ride was really....(speechless).....Inside the train was so hot and the ride was so slow that a lot of people have fallen asleep in the ride....I was one of them...craddled to sleep in a hot temperature...The ride itself to and fro is 4 bucks
but the view itself was spectacular....the rail was somehow straight up...only a few curves....and a tunnel....
the moment we walked out of the train...it's a sudden change of environment from the hot air in the train to the fresh and cool air of the hill....it's refreshing.....
Bukit Bendera, at the moment I thought it is just a lookout point or a recreation point, I saw this... 
A Police Station!!!!
Telekom Malaysia and Post Office on top of the hill...to my surprise...they are people staying at the hill....and you can drive your 4WD up there...cheh...
Last but not least, the second place or things I did in Penang( the last one was a visit to Queensbay Mall, northern region biggest Shopping Mall ) is to have Cendol...this is the famous Penang Cendol which is found only in Penang Road. It is so famous that, It has a picture together with Phua Chu Kang and his wife eating their cendol...and I mean the Phua Chu Kang...The Unique things about the cendol is, there is no table placed for you to eat your cendol, so you have to stand or sit on the stool and hold the ice cold bowl of cendol in your hand....or if you want, you can just 'Ta Pau' back....the taste itself is different than others...what I tasted was, they put in some coffee or mocha flavour in it...but I could be wrong....I travelled mostly for food and scenery...or to a place which I've never went before...so in both situations, Lang Tengah Island And Penang visit fit those criterias....OMG...this post took my almost 3 hours to finish....
