How odd it feels actually to have my 7 days vacation to come to an end. I won't be saddened by the fact but rejoice because I've enjoyed myself and bring back good memories out of it so that the next time I can ponder about it. Anyway, I will start off with the Lang Tengah Island Trip. For those of you who don't know where is Lang Tengah Island, it's actually part of the Marine Park Malaysia that is off the coast of Kuala Terrenganu. One hour speed boat ride, then you are there. Not far from the island itself is actually the famous Redang Island. We didn't stay at Redang but we managed to do snorkelling there.

But unfortunately, I can't take any pictures under the sea as my camera is not waterproof, maybe the next time around then. Among the stuffs that you can see often when you do snorkelling at those snorkelling spots are, coral reef, different kinds of sea cucumber ( Our guides show us different sea cucumbers to compare, one of it really looks like a large sausage from Germany but it's not edible...haha), nemo, unknown fishes ( We managed to buy breads to attract those fishes closer to us. I managed to touch the some of the fishes, some of my friends even caught it and release it again. Eventually our hands stink as we touched them with bare hands...ewwhh, bau ikan ) etc.etc...
Unfortunately, starfish is like kinda rare there. One of the few things that one can actually do or rather enjoy there are

2) Sunbathing ( of course lah...if you want to get yourself tanned like the current me...my skin tone has changed...hehe )
3)Banana boat ( This is one of the thing that a lot of people refuse to take at the beginning, but after they saw the fun of it, a lot of people are taking it). Tell you ya, sitting on a banana boat with all guys are more fun and extreme I supposed as guys tend to ( sengaja ) make the boat overturned even it is unnecessary. Just to make the time of using the banana boat longer, more fun and to enjoy been drop from the boat. I should have shown you the video of those guys taking the banana boat, it's so hilarious especially when you can noticed someone behind the boat just drop himself down the boat whereas the others are still yelling Yuhhooo in front. That guy do it on purpose ( I guess he like the sea so much )

4) Snorkelling ( refer above ). Snorkelling is our main activity on our camp. Anyone can go snorkelling regardless of whether they know how to swim or vice versa. The second last day on the Island, our guides eventually told us that they notice a few baby sharks on the island and they decided to bring a few of us to catch a glimpse on the baby sharks. Baby sharks are easily scared off once if they notice a big group of people coming near to them or you make unpleasant water splashing noise. So we eventually go snorkelling on small groups of maximum 3 person, scattered but not far from each other to look at the sharks. But we are just out of luck, no sharks are noticed when we were there for almost an hour. Some claim to have seen just a glimpse of a shark. Bad Luck =(

5) Jungle Trekking- You might think that this is another usual jungle trekking like me. But I was wrong, the jungle trekking there was like a journey to the different side of the world ( just the different side of the island lah...). The view on the other side of the island was spectacular. As I thought it was a normal jungle trekking, I begin to notice the different in the trees. The roots of the trees were not rooted underground but exposed

Then I saw rocks instead of beach when we were almost there. I took lots of pictures. The view there were awesome that I began to marvelled at God's creation. Such a wonderful masterpiece. Praise God.
We even discovered mineral water source which we thought as sea water at the beginning. The water tastes sweet.

6) Playing games. Some of the people here decided to play Mahjong until late night or watching the starry-starry sky till late night or perhaps wee hours of the day

7) catching a glimpse of the blue sand. This thing, you can only see it during the night and can only catch it live. I don't have a photo of it, it needs skills to take the low resolution shot. I will show the photo of it here if I managed to get one
I managed to take few nice shot of pictures which is based on what imagine though...and it turns out well. Some turns out not really good, like for example, catching the photos on the blue sands which requires a good camera or perhaps a SLR camera can take the job...sigh

It seems like I'm having a weird month of April, never expect that so many things happened in just 2 weeks time, or perhaps almost 3 weeks. Eventually, I've 2 post that I never manage to post it up after considering the outcome that I might get at the end of the day.hehe....Anyway, just forget about it, bad experiences are meant to be forgotten. Ok, lets start off with what happened ever since my very last post which dated back by...erm 21st march??wah, it's almost a month. Anyway, end of last month was the month which I can describe as the time when we mark "it's almost end of the semester and your another year in Uni life", as expected, a lot of events are organised specially to mark the 'time'. You can expect to have lots of Dinners to attend to. It's the time to say farewell to the final year students as well as they will be graduating soon. The final week of March alone, I've attended 2 dinners, where one of it cost me freaking 50 bucks and another one is FOC( free-of-charge ).
Let me starts off with the FOC Dinner organised specially for the C-DEX( which stands for 'Career and Self-Development EXpo') OC(Organising Committee). I'm one of the organisers for the Dinner so I rather don't want to justify of what my team and I have done. let others make their judgements. Overall, we have put a lot of hard work in it as we only start to plan it 3 weeks before the dinner. For the first time also, I saw caterer put on roast Lamb in their buffet menu, and I don't mean they roast it before hand. But they roast 'Satu ekor' lamb on the spot. I was like ..going huh?! when I saw the menu... but that is the first time that I saw people eventually roast a lamb on the spot.haha...The dinner concept was actually free and easy as we want to make the event casual so that people can mingled around with the others( except for the VIP lah). The whole event was smooth but just one thing that I wasn't satisfy of...that is the speech by our VIP. I think that will be the worst speech ever given by a VIP that caused everyone to lost their mood when he gave the speech. I don't wanna disclose who is our VIP as the name VIP implies that the person been invited is one of the powerful guy in the faculty.erm...actually, he is not suppose to be the one giving the speech but rather another higher post person to give the speech but it turns out that the VVIP cannot turn up for the event, so he is automatically the second in line to give out the speech. It turns out more than 80% of his speech saying bad about the events that we were organising. blablabla about this and that...Honestly speaking, I hate people who never look themselves in the mirror and try to justify others without judging himself. if like a little bit of the speech is about our weaknesses then, that one is acceptable. but if the almost all the speech given is mencemuh then, it's really stupid. There are always weaknesses if you organize something for the first time. As a professional Engineer of him, he should know that, there are always weakness in something, We will never be perfect but we try our best towards it. Nobody is perfect. hmm...very disappointed with that only.

Ok, move on to the 2nd dinner that i paid 50 bucks on. Some call that money is the protection fee for you to stay college, some say you pay to get those merits...haha. Guess what, the event itself is good, congrats to the organizer in putting a great event...i specially like the presentation, very creative that it looks like a show from the tv...bravo...the only thing I wasn't impressed is the food. Tell me, what you will you expect if you were to pay RM50 buffet dinner? for me, it's simple, it is either eat till you drop or get to eat some very rare stuffs which you won't normally get in mamak stall or anything similar. It turns out that, the food served is unexpected. None of the 'syarat' that I mentioned earlier is fulfilled. I was so disappointed and furthermore annoyed when one of the OC sitting with me told me that the actual cost of the menu per head is RM75 bucks...I just reply...oh!...but at the back of my mind, I was yer??!...as if..... Ok, the Food were served but it's not one by one like what happened normally in the Chinese Restaurant, but they put all the '8-course' meal together on a big "steamboat' plate. with 8 compartments and 8 different food. When the waiter opened it, I was like...oh my gosh!..RM50 bucks for that???10 person(mind you...it's all guys, so the appetite of guys is much larger than female...) sharing those lauk? I thought the hotel is going to refill them, but no...so stingy. The Soup, everyone is entitled only to a small bowl of it...so pathetic, as if we are those people staying in jails. Then the fried Rice, this is even worse...each one of us is served and the waiter only gave us 3 spoons of fried rice...OMG!!!!!!!!!!!what is that???Rm5 for 3 spoons of rice?? I would rather go to the Sushi buffet at One Utama which cost only Rm55...OMG...nasib baik the waiter came back to ask us whether we want to refill, then he gave me 3 spoons again, but the waiter was good, he asked me whether I want more or not, I just say yes...then he add up another 2 spoons =____="
OMG, we are like banduan kah?? the dessert they give is mango pudding...it's a small portion...darn....spoil the event only. One of the bad things happened is, they don't respect the Indians at all, 2 of the 8 course is beef...then, at the end of the day, the Indian eat less than us, they ate few slices of chicken meat and vegetables only...pity them pay rm50 for something that some of the food they cannot eat. It was a disrespect, but the Indians just berdiam diri because they don't want to spoil the event. Imagine if Pork was served, then, those who serve could face jail sentence but how about this case....no wonder the election result is like that.
The food served is rather not enough that some of my friends opt to go out to the Coffee House of the Hotel and buy a slice of cheese cake which cost around rm5... At the end of the day, most of my chinese friends were telling each other that, it's the most pathetic rm50 meal ever...at least shark fin or abalone is served mah...or the lauk mesti banyak...stupid. Equatorial Hotel just give me bad impression. or maybe it's not their fault, the meal might cost only Rm20 or Rm30 bucks...then the rest of the money is used to belanja on all the invited guests...which I think around 10 tables...10x10=100 people...darn!

Then, another thing that happened lately is decision making of whether to stay in college or staying outside. After thinking long and influence by most of my chinese course mates, I've decided to move out of college. I consider it as a bold decision that I've made to date. I've a principle now that is once I've made the decision, I shall not regret about it. And till now, I try not to think it's a bad idea to stay out of college. I will update more on the house and the surrounding once I've move in soon. There are few reasons to why I don't want to stay college.
1.) The management
2.) The College itself
3.) The worst person ever to be a room mate.
4.) etc....etc
Ok, finally, one semester is almost to the end and I'm here now in the midst of the exam weeks. My first paper was on 7th of April which is my German paper...little did I understand the passage that was on the paper, all I can do is to guess the content from some familiar words learnt. Haha, then thermofluid and Eng. Maths II papers on the 8th, thermofluid paper was ok but Maths II paper...erm, I can only hope that I get a pass for the paper. I cannot finish...darn...then Engineering Drawing and Ethnic Relations paper on the 10th...One question that still popped up from my mind is why is it necessary to have an exam on Engineering Drawing? for your information, we draw with our hand, not computer generated. What they ask us to draw is too much to be drawn in 2 hours time.What quality of drawing can you expect to have if you are to draw under pressure of time. I think it should be replaced with assignments where the quality of the drawing will be great and better product of drawing could be yield. haha...I did not finish my drawing though...and most of my course mates cannot finish as well....It was tough. again, I can only hope for a pass in the exam.
So last week, I sat for 5 papers which drives me a bit insane. I did lots of stuffs to distress, among them is eat and eat and eat...then watch lots of Movies...gone to the nearby TGV cinema twice and ended up watching

Last week was a stressful week, and finally I realize that it's not a good thing to packed most of the exam papers together and ended up last few papers has the schedule so 'alang2x'..ended up the few days after the exam was so bored...and you know how teruk it is just to wait....
Yay!...that’s what I can described myself for the moment after few weeks of non-stop craziness on having to catch-up what I’ve supposed to do for my study, finally it’s almost to the end. I’m starting to count on how many more weeks to my exam. That’s the furthest I can do for now in spite of having some problem with my studies. Anyway, we have another 2 more weeks before we will be having our final exam, which marks the end of my first year in university. How time flies just like that, and the new batch of ‘mahasiswa’ will come into university soon. So good luck to all those who are in the process of applying into the university. Haha, hopefully more people applying into the aerospace stream,that’s what I wish to have for next semester in the course.
Perhaps, my Yay! Will be temporarily, This week is the only week which I can take it as a week break after those hectic schedules. After this week, I will need to continue on my ‘kerajinan’ ( as if I’m the rajin type ) to get back into track of striving for excellencies. Ok…enough of self motivating talk…

Moving on to some of the things that I think worth of sharing it out after few weeks did not post up anything on the blog. I’m happy and contented that most of the events that were organised were successfully been implemented. Nothing can beat the feeling of satisfaction behind everything that you plan and do turns out well. For example, the Pesta Ang Pau UPM 2008, which was a very successful event that the event is fully supported by not only the University alone but lots of sponsors, this can be seen on the PAP( not People’s Action Party ya…for those who study History ) magazine where you can see almost 3 quarter of the magazine is all advertisements. Then, the C-Dex 2008, which stands for Career and self-development Expo. The event is aim at getting those students who wish to find a job after they are graduated ( for Final year students ) and those who wish to have their internship at the companies that came to our faculty to open their booth. For your information, this Expo is strictly for Engineering students as most of the companies that came are those engineering related companies, for example, Shell, General Electric, Motorola, OYL..etc. My comment to the event is that, there are more room for improvement next year and the years to come.
Little less did I know that after those events have ended, my assignments are pilling up and I have 4 assignments that need to be done, the week after those events ended. But, thank God, I managed to have all of it done, although I admit that, I did not finish up the assignments with my full commitment. So, I dare to admit that most of the assignments that are actually not to what I expected. Hmmm…how I wish I can take back those assignments and refined it again. Then, I’m really ketinggalan in my studies. Until date, some of the stuffs that I’ve learnt previously, I’ve totally forgotten about it. Darn..need more revision perhaps, especially my maths and Statics subjects. Not forgetting my German as well…looks like I need to a list on what to do soon.haha….
In this few weeks as well, I’ve met friends that I rarely can see them. One of them is not other than, Xin Sheng who makes a trip here from USM Kelantan. He was on an official trip to KL to do something. Anyway, we landed hanging out at One Utama which is quite a distance from UPM itself. Having to use KTM then LRT again to Kelana Jaya…got into the wrong bus going to Putrajaya ( nasib we stop at the next station, or else we will be at a place that is far from what I’ve expected.). It was my first time at One U and the others as well, so you can imagine how Sakai it can be for us to be at One U. tell you ya…One U is really big and obviously you can notice the extended New Wing of One U, which extended over the street and connected between the Old and New wing by a bridge crossing the street. Then, on the 29th Feb, I’ve accidentally bumped into a guy who is on a date. Hahaha….the same spot where I’ve bumped into his GF few months ago. It’s none other than Anthony. If not because I’ve met him at Times Square, a small 5s1 gathering won’t occurred. The Thursday After that, Leslie came into UPM and stayed at my place for one night. Darn…this guy ah…I’m speechless about him…can watch movie until 3 or 4am on my laptop.The day after that, Leslie and I decided to stay at UM to meet up those people studying in UM medical faculty. And…yup..the story goes lah….anyway, the next day, unexpectedly, we met Kevin C. at Lowyat. Yeah..that guy grow a bit in size especially on his facial part. He was stunt eventually to see how Leslie transformed from the Innocent looking guy in form 5 to a ‘gangster’ looking guy….and he became the hot topic of the week among those Bumis’ in 5s1…everyone is talking about leslie…haha….I wanna laugh about that( hey, we managed to catch up Nicole David live in Action for the KL Squash open at Times Square on the Saturday of the Election… she is indeed good in playing squash.bravo!),oh ya , election is also the hot topic during my visit to UM. What I wanna sum up about the hot issue during my visit to UM which coincide with the election week is…even if money is spent on renting the biggest Billboard just below the Menara Telekom, or even you put up your face on the newspaper the day before election kissing on the unfortunate kids. It won’t change the fact that people have lost faith in certain political icons in the countries. I was a bit surprise that, there is a big dominant in terms of campaigning for the election this time. For those of you who didn’t know or notice, the dominant gets to do whatever they like in their campaign, for example, posting a big poster on each tiang in KL sentral, having to have the advertisement on each of the LRT stations, every big billboard on the roadside is taken by the dominant parties. And it is worse still that, even the mass media, they controlled it as well. There are adverts on the TV, radio and even on the internet, in MSN Messenger…Probably, the election result really reflects that when we do something, it’s better that we don’t overacting as if we are confident that we can do it very well. Now I know why Selangor is taken. The people have spoken…

About the STPM and SPM result, I would like to congratulate those who have scored well in their exam. What I wanna comment is, how come there is more and more freak people out there who want to break the record of having the highest A in SPM. Now it’s 21 As, I’m sure that there will be 22As next year then…30As soon….and you can see that it’s always the Malays, because they have the opportunity to take those subjects that I don’t even know it existed as a SPM paper. I mean what is the use of you taking those subjects which is irrelevant to you if you want to study Biotechnology. I would rather narrow my scope to something rather than expanding my scope that can make me lost my target. Isn’t it? We want to be specialist in certain things but not by knowing something just a small portion and at the end of the day, makes ourselves mixed up. I will salute that guy if he can take 21 subjects in a year and score CGPA 4.0.

Finally, after busy off with all the OC(organizing Comittee) stuffs, I managed to get a little break before heading off with my assignments that is pilling up at the moment. Hopefully, I can finish it this week. As of the status now, I've done 2 out of 4 assignments that was pilling up ever since last 2 Friday ago.
Anyway, last week was really a super busy week for me. I tell you ah...it's like you are chasing again the time and It really makes you remember one phrase that is "time is money, money is time", makes me recall that from The Apprentice Show. A lot of things happened last week and it's worth of remembrance.hehe
Here's the list of things that happened last week which I think could be interesting to be recall back.
1) for the first time, I timed myself in doing things,for example, timed myself must finish everything in a time limit.
2) Meets lots of strangers, and most important of all, meet up with one of the Deputy Dean and 'kena' bomb for sometime that I think it is stupid to be bombarded...
3) burning lots of midnight oil that, I couldn't remember how long I've done the same thing.e.g. tying 300 ribbons, wrapping big boxes...blabla

4)for the first time, I managed to ride on a tractor of UPM....it's an unforgettable experience..the whole route, I was squating and the road was bumpy...so you know how crazy the ride may go.

5) waited for more than 2 hours and it turns out that I was barely wasting my time on something that's not worth waiting...hey dude how come after waited for 2 hours then you say you dunno where you place the key....duh...
6)for the first time, I lost track of my spending...darn...after I was busy until I lupa to count my money....then not only that,I not yet even claimed my money for what I've contributed....
7)made a trip to One Utama for the first time, almost get into the wrong bus to go to Putrajaya, luckily I recognised the road, so we( me and few friends ) stopped at the next bus stop. the original plan was going to IKEA but..change last minute.

8)I've tasted the sweetest 'jagung' and it's for free.I managed to eat it raw and fresh for the first time. this was made happened when we visited the Ladang Bersepadu UPM...and boy, the jagung can cost you rm3.5 in Cameron Highland per stick there. So you can imagine how good the breed is. Unfortunately, the benih are from Taiwan, not Malaysia ya...and one kg of the seeds can cost rm130.....fuh....

13) Finally, I got so tired on Sunday after everything was over...All I was thinking after the Run finished is....my bed....hehe =D
darn, once again I'm glued to the computer like what happened before the CNY holiday. It all happens just now when our lecturer did not come to conduct our lecture this morning. Eventually it left me with 2 hours spare of free time that I don't even know what I can do with it. Feels like going back to my college, but I'm afraid of ending up sleeping without doing anything. So, in order to fill up my time, I decided to do my research on one of my assignment which is related to Genetically modified Organisms. Surprise...surprise, it's totally out of Aerospace topics, but for the sack of the marks in our Human and Agriculture subject...I need to do it. After surfing through the net for the assignment for about 20 mins, I ended up surfing up the net on something that is not related to GMO. It's weird something when you think you are busy but suddenly when you get some free period, you will find out that why you don't have anything to do and started to get bored. and now, after almost 3 hours on the internet, I'm still in it and starts to blog about this pointless post...hehe
